Enjoy a view of historic vineyards and Seneca Lake, while tasting a variety of european style wines, and sampling gourmet bread and dipping sauces, aolis, and mustards. Learn about the history of winemaking in the Finger Lakes, and add on a tour of the vineyards and barrel cellar.
Standing Stone Vineyards is the site of some of the oldest Riesling and Chardonnay grapes in the Finger Lakes region. The older vines ensure that the wines are intensely varietal in character, and truly enjoyable to drink. The tasting experience at Standing Stone Vineyards is relaxed, with the emphasis on your needs - to learn, to taste, to look, to enjoy.
The wines you will taste range from Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Chardonnay for white wines, and Pinot Noir and Pinnacle (a bordeaux style red blend) for reds, and 2 lovely dessert "ice style" wines - Vidal Ice and Cailloux. Our wines have been consistently highly rated by Wine Spectator, and sell out from year to year.
The basic wine tasting costs just $3.00, and includes one complementary wine, your choice of 4 wines, and a choice of one dessert "ice style" wine. We also offer additional choices from our Reserve and Library wines, for a modest additional $1.00 per taste. After you have tasted, you may decide to enjoy a bottle or glass of your favorite wine while you relax with your friends. We look forward to seeing you at Standing Stone Vineyards!

Year 'round, every day 12 - 5, Saturdays 11 - 6. Reservations are helpful for groups of 10 or more.

Essential Information
For the best wine tasting experience, we suggest a hearty breakfast, and drinking lots of water between wineries. Although it is unusual for people outside of the wine and beverage trade to spit, sample wines and spitting them out can help to keep your head clear.

Duration
A normal tasting lasts about 30 minutes, depending upon the level of questions and conversation. Saturday is the day with the most intense traffic and crowd pressure, so other days are highly recommended for those who like to linger.

What to Wear
Casual attire is fine, good shoes are helpful for those looking to tour the vineyards.
