The beauty of the Long Island Sound is legendary, and you can take in a magnificent panoramic view of this celebrated body of water aboard the Martha Jefferson. Our 85 foot Mississippi River Paddleboat is a full service catering facility perfect for events of anywhere from 50 to 120. Guests have their choice of a climate controlled hall or a beautiful open-air deck, each having a gorgeous view of the Long Island Sound.

Private cruises are available for any occasion and offer a unique way for you and your guests to enjoy all the splendor and beauty that the Long Island Sound has to offer. From private family affairs to group outings to special gatherings, you can enjoy the camaraderie of friends, family and business associates as the Martha Jefferson cradles you in comfort and style. Passengers can enjoy watching the paddle wheels churn, dancing to live music or a live DJ, and chatting at one of our two full service bars.

There are also opportunities during the week for local residents, tourists, or visitors to Port Jefferson to enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Long Island Sound. Plan on joining us for your private affair or on one of our many cruises.

Essential Information

The views of Long Island Sound and the North Shore are simply spectacular no matter what time of day or night you cruise with us. After boarding at Port Jefferson Harbor, the first order of business is to decide whether to sit outside on the sunny decks, or inside in the enclosed hall. Either way, you'll enjoy a truly breathtaking visual experience, where wildlife and nature abound along with the statuesque, stately architecture of homes on the Sound.

The Martha Jefferson sails rain or shine! Both of our decks are fully enclosed in the event of inclement weather. In rare occasions, when there is severe weather conditions, and on the advise of the United States Coast Guard, the management of the Martha Jefferson may cancel a cruise, at which time ticket holders will be notified immediately to reschedule their curise.
