A glimpse of history, a lesson in engineering, congenial company and marvelous meals.
One, two and three day cruises on the Canals of New York. Board the 40-passenger Emita II for a trip of 150 miles, and 180 years in time.
Your days are spent relaxing and dining as you cruise through locks and under bridges ("low bridge" is a literal warning!), past farms and villages. At the end of the day, we convey you to a comfortable hotel for a good night's sleep.
Each itinerary includes a tour of a working lock and a program by Captain Dan Wiles on the history of the Erie and other canals. At the end of the cruuise you'll find yourself back at your car or aboard a comfortable motor coach for the return trip.
Departures from Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. Fare includes meals, overnight accommodations on shore, return transportation.
